How to use Direct Scheduling links for Consumer Scheduling
Consumer scheduling allows the consumer to self-schedule their appointment depending on provider or profile availability. Initial Consumer Settings customization can be found in the Admin Portal > Organization > Consumer Settings. There, the user can select the types of patient demographics needed upon patient scheduling and other workflow settings, such as HTML embed options on the consumer web page. 1. After signing into Blockit, go to the Admin Portal > Profiles > search for desired profile.
2. Click on Consumer Settings on the lefthand corner. The consumer settings section allows the user to select “Make Available for Patient Self-Scheduling,” which allows patients to schedule themselves via the consumer scheduling link if consumer scheduling is enabled for your organization. This view also provides the direct link to the appointment scheduling screen. The link can be modified to include a preselected visit type or search all profiles that share the same NPI number. Providing a direct link will bypass the “Make Available for Patient Self-Scheduling” selection. You can also find the direct scheduling link to the entire organization via Admin portal > Organization > Consumer Settings.
3. Click on the Direct Scheduling Link for the profile. When on the scheduling screen as shown below, select an appointment time. If the consumer does not see any available times, they can click the arrows until a time slot opens up.
4. Once patient demographic information is entered, the appointment request/confirmation screen will show and the consumer will confirm their appointment. They will receive an email confirmation that their appointment has been confirmed, and the profile's email address will also receive an appointment confirmation.
