In this article, we will show you how to receive a referred patient with Blockit Basic.
When a sending physician refers a patient, the receiving physician’s office will receive an email with a link to the referral details page. Click on the link to be redirected to that page.
Once you are on the referral details page, you will see the patient’s information in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Use this information to follow your normal process for contacting the patient and confirming their appointment after receiving a referral.
Near the middle of the referral details screen, you should see three small tab options that says “Referral”, “Appointment”, and “Chat.” Click on the chat option then begin typing your message in the toolbar that says “Type your message here…”. Then click send and wait for the other provider’s response.
If you need to access your referrals from another Blockit window, you can click on the “Referrals” tab in the blue toolbar. A list of referrals will pop up starting with the most recently created appointment. You may scan the list and select the desired referral.
